Police investigating a rape case involving a pastor in Ogun State have found the devil in the details.
While giving account of what happened on the day he allegedly lured a 17-year-old girl into his temple and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her, Pastor Adekunle Francis said it was the work of the devil.
According to the Ogun State police spokesman, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect was arrested on November 22, after the victim reported the crime at Sango Police Station.
She was asked to come for special prayer and anointing.
Oyeyemi said the DPO at Sango, SP Akinsola Ogunwale sent detectives to the crime scene at Ipamesan, Sango Ota.
“The Commissioner of Police (CP) Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to Anti human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department for further investigation,” he said.
