A 17-year-old girl, identified simply as Taiwo, has reportedly committed suicide by poisoning herself, after she was forced by her mum to breakup with her boyfriend.
Instablog9ja reported that the unfortunate incident occurred on Friday, in Alakuko area of Lagos State.
She reportedly drank an unidentified poisonous substance after her mum forced her to stop seeing her 19-year-old lover, who finished from secondary school in 2021.
Police have not yet confirmed the incident.
