NANNS Honours Badejo

The National Association of Northern Nigerian Students (NANNS) has conferred an award of excellence as an Icon of Societal Transformation on the Managing Partner, GBC Reanda, Sir Gbenga Badejo.

Presenting the award tagged Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Distinguish Platinum Award of Excellence at a ceremony on April 15th, NANNS leader, Comrade Jubril S.B, said that Badejo deserved the honour because of his “contributions to societal development and human development”.

After receiving the award, Badejo said, “This Award is a testament of close to 3 decades of grooming Chartered Accountants. The world is currently in need of Leaders who can sell hope to its citizens as they grapple with uncertainty and the fast pace in changing demographics and macro-economic factors. That hope starts with each individual who takes action today and now!

“Nigeria is a land blessed with Milk and Honey with a growing population replete with well read and accomplished men and women in professions across the world.
The economic prognosis today is scary; prediction by pundits suggest around map which will accelerate our quagmire overtime. The masses are totally not in tune with these academic exercise. The elite are not any better for either political reasons or just throwing tantrums.”

The Future is here!

Badejo added, “Our professions – Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Financial Consultancy provide
veritable tools and thinking to help get our country on the path of sustainable development and growth. Our Institute of Chartered Accountants pride itself on
Accuracy and Integrity. Integrity is lacking in every facets of our National life and that portends great danger from the continued existence of our dear nation.

“All hope is not lost though – the Leadership of your Association, Northern Nigeria Accounting Student Association, recognizing the need to hobnob with accomplished professionals in the chosen course of study is the direction that will prepare leaders of tomorrow to be mentored and stand on the shoulder of giants.

“We at Gbenga Badejo & Co. (Chartered Accountants & Tax Practitioners) – a
Correspondent Firm of Reanda International which is an International Network of
Independent Accounting and Consulting Firms with 41 Member Firms and over 250 Partners with 4,500 staff in 147 locations across the globe including Asia Africa, Middle East and Europe- have continued to be in the forefront of providing the Nation with the needed human capital required to grow the economy.
Transformational Leadership is Key.

“I have done some modest podcasts in this direction and shall be passed on to you for annual transmission to your constituency – leaders of today and tomorrow.”
