Adeboye Unveils RCCG Football Club, Dove FC

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has unveiled its football club named Dove FC.

General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye unveiled the club at the Redemption Camp at the weekend.

The move is part of the church’s youth evangelism campaign to bring young people out of criminality.

Newsmakerslive.org reports that the players were selected from the six geopolitical zones and are between the ages of 16 and 21.

The aim is to prepare them for a possible professional career.

Speaking at the event, Adeboye admonished the players to deemphasize money and focus on service of God.

According to him, “Winning is by God’s divine and not by might. To be a winner, you must have God by your side.”

Prince Dapo Ajibade, the chairman of Dove FC, explained that the establishment of the team is for the church to break new grounds.

“By the special grace of God and with the support of the GO (General Overseer), Dove FC will expand to become the biggest brand in the world,” he said.
