The National Association of Judiciary Correspondents (NAJUC), Lagos chapter, is set to host its 16th Annual Lecture on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the MUSON Centre in Onikan, Lagos.

With the theme “Judicial Reforms: Strengthening the Administration of Justice in Nigeria through Technology, International Best Practices, Media, and Public Feedback,” the lecture promises to be a thought-provoking forum bringing together key stakeholders from across the legal and media landscapes.

Presiding over the event is Hon. Justice Taiwo Taiwo (rtd), a renowned former judge of the Federal High Court, while the keynote address will be delivered by Hon. Justice Folashade Bankole-Oki (rtd), FC1, Arb., whose legal insights and advocacy for judicial transformation have earned her national acclaim.

According to a statement from NAJUC, an array of high-ranking judicial dignitaries and legal luminaries will grace the occasion. These include the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Hon. Justice John Tsoho; the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba; and Lagos State’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro (SAN). Also expected is the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), adding gravitas to the panel of guests.

NAJUC’s patron, Mr. Abiodun Olutunji (SAN), will serve as the Chief Host, reinforcing the association’s enduring commitment to transparency and reform in the judicial process.

The event kicks off at 10:00 a.m. in the MUSON Centre’s Function Room and is open to legal professionals, journalists, civic leaders, and stakeholders interested in the evolution of Nigeria’s justice system.

Chairman of NAJUC Lagos, Mr. Olugbenga Soyele, described the lecture as “a critical platform for reflecting on the judiciary’s challenges and spotlighting practical pathways for reform, especially through the responsible use of technology and public engagement.”
